Chrissie Wilkinson

With years of experience in different fields, as a qualified nurse, counsellor and teacher she knows that life can throw curve balls and has discovered that tapping into the creative part of ourselves can often bring different perspectives, allowing discovery of new ways of thinking and of looking at life.

Chrissie is mum to two beautiful daughters with two 'sons in love', and has three incredible grandchildren! (She is biased on that one!)

Chrissie is herself a mosaic artist and has exhibited her work in various places. She takes commissions for businesses and individuals and usually works large, with mosaics 2x4 foot in size. She loves working with people on their unique briefs which enables her to create works of art that express a person or businesses ethos.  Her most memorable exhibition was when she was invited to exhibit her mosaics at Oxford University press for a month as a local Oxford artist.

See below for details of her 'picture' book 'Broken Pieces', which records some of her own story, ethos and art work.

Broken Pieces

Chrissie believes that we were always meant to understand how deeply loved, valuable, and unique we are. With a background as an art teacher, she finds joy in helping others connect with their true selves. She believes we are all inherently creative and carry phenomenal potential within ourselves.

Over recent years she has explored life creatively through designing and making mosaics and this book includes many pictures of her art work in the sharing of her story. Entitled ‘Broken Pieces’ it records some of her creative journey through life, giving down to earth examples of how creativity and her own spiritual journey have helped her through life's challenges.

Having worked globally with children at risk, as a foster carer and working for a number of different charities, it is her writing, workshop facilitation and commissioned art work that give creative perspective to otherwise confusing experiences.

She shares her own experiences with infertility, miscarriage, a cancer diagnosis and various other challenges. Every chapter tells a story and laughter and tears are often found together.

She is a passionate advocate for people being enabled to discover how precious and loved they are.  She has been known to ROAR -  at the subtle ways things can creep in to destroy the knowledge of our uniqueness and the fact we have been created with such beautiful complexity and are truly worthy of being loved.

She lives in Oxford where her home acts as a hub for discovery and well being.
